HD Wave Inverter (Single Phase)
The HD-Wave series of inverters from SolarEdge are smaller, lighter in weight, but very high in efficiency. They make full use of the latest technology and are also very cost effective. As with the other SolarEdge inverters, these new HD Wave inverters are designed to be used with the SolarEdge power optimizers. These optimizers make every solar module “smart” and independent of the other modules in the string. So shading one panel would have no effect on the others.
Using a novel power conversion technology that is based on a distributed switching and powerful DSP processing, the HD-Wave technology inverter is able to synthesize a clean sine wave that leads to a dramatic reduction in the magnetics and heavy cooling elements. This small and lightweight inverter enables simplified shipping and storing and one-person installation. The record-breaking efficiency allows more energy production for an improved ROI.
The SE3000H to the SE7600H inverters include terminals for up to two DC strings of modules.
The SolarEdge DC power optimizers operate at a fixed voltage, regardless of string length and the current is modified up to 15 amps. The voltage is fixed at 380 VDC (400 VDC for the SE7600H-US model) and automatically limit the DC voltage to 1 VDC per module when detecting excessive heat, or when the inverter is not connected to the grid, an important safety consideration for installers and firefighters). This meets the NEC requirement for rapid shutdown.
The SolarEdge SE3800H and the SE7600H versions can have integrated electric vehicle (EV) chargers.
